During my arrival, my parents gave bothersome but helpful advice on how some things worked in college.
The freshman class had a warm welcoming with a couple activities which featured free bungee rides and food along with a performance show of a mind reader. Damn, that guy was good. The activities were good until near dinner around 5:00 when I left my wallet in my locked room with my roommate nowhere to be found. I did get my wallet back; however, this delay caused me to not find my group until at 8:00. The entire time, I had an inflatable flamingo, our team's unofficial mascot, given to me. After dinner, I had the bird on my back and rode around the campus for those three hours for unintended promotion of our team. This stunt landed me the somewhat famed title of "Flamingo Man" and recognition
I'm not sure how, but I managed to find a nice group of friends within the first couple of days. They happen to be reasonable people.
It was easy to tell who where the drinkers
Classes were quite something. Never had I felt so grateful for my bike. I could clear one end of the university to the other. My major happens to be Multimedia Arts.
The first class of the week is "Intro to Multimedia", which teaches the aspects of technology to society. Our professor, Spencer, happen to run Game Zombie. I landed an internship with them from 2-D graphic design. Right now, I working on a background for them, making a better, bloodier zombie.
I fear that English 101 will be my toughest class to deal.
Intro to 2-D happens to be somewhat difficult but rewarding at the end of projects.
Ind. and Society in nice. Nothing too special
WOTA(World of the Arts) has it's perks, but it's mostly lectures and notes.
The anime club here has managed to outclass everything than the one during high-school. Having around 15 to 30 people attending was plenty. The protocol was watching 6 episodes worth of anime without any forms of distraction or off topic conversations, with the exception of announcements. The closest thing to a projector was in lecture hall that was 20 feet high by 40 feet wide with surround sound.
Our football team was surprisingly good. I mean a 40 point or more advantage good; second best in state.
I was able to tell when fall season came as soon as I got a cold.
Halloween was nice. It's amazing how much you can get away with just a black $10 cape. I when trick-or-treating with three other friends only to get a fifth of what I normally get on every Halloween. Maybe it was because we started 30 minutes before Halloween curfew.
Well, I think that is enough material for now. I'll post anything else that I forgot or new things. Until then, I will see you guys later.
